How I closed a Million Dollar Deal

Last December, I closed a $50,000 deal with a U.S. client — right after enduring 6 months of silence, rejection, and uncertainty in my business.

If you like to see exact video of me closing a deal in 45 mins, it’s here. (it has a misleading title, my stupid me thought Hundred thousand is 1 million, )

This post is not about how I did it, It’s about what i have went through in six months after closing the deal & actually I delivered a value of $1M and delivered actual measurable business results to the client.

It’s not easy as i sounds after six months of silence.

What made it even more surreal?
👉 It was a complete pivot from what I’d been doing for the past 2 years.
👉 It was in an industry I had zero experience in.
👉 And I said YES to the opportunity before I knew how I’d deliver.

But here’s the thing:
Sometimes, you don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need the courage to show up and figure it out along the way.
In just 5 months, I believe I’ve delivered over $1M in value to the client.

✅ I introduced 2 new digital tech solutions
✅ I built what was requested and more, all while learning the landscape from scratch

I had already forgotten how to code, but my design thinking as an engineer and systemic thinking as a consultant helped me see things through the customer’s eyes — and solve real problems for the business.

Even with just 70% implementation of our first solution, we saw phenomenal results — 2 months in a row.

What changed?

Everything.
I now:
Speak in dollars, not rupees
I Know about NBA Finals
Say “Good Morning” at midnight IST
Do ACH and Fedwire transfers like it’s second nature

And even delivered a full solution to an Australian business — with a newborn baby at home

And the best part? None of it felt like work.

From the outside, it might look like luck.

But if you saw the years of persistence, reinvention, and silent hustle, you’d know:
📌 Luck follows those who don’t quit when it gets quiet.

What I know now after these experiences, things will always turn around, I learned that bad times won’t last, good times either,

I learned that My bad times and good times don’t define me as a person, they are just life situations,  I learned a phenomenal life skill of distancing myself & my identity from the results I produce & the money I earn.

My self worth never ever depends on my net worth & things I own or the results I produce for my business, I feel It’s defined by the way I act on these life situations
